KALEIDOSPOD
TEXTILE DESIGN
INSTITUTE AND RESEARCH CENTER

This project focuses on the philosophy of ornamentation, which is derived from the traditional textile craft of Thailand - its proposed site. The ornamental patterns were designed to portray the contrasting rigid and fluid movements between the process and product of the craft.

From the pattern, a unique ornamental 'Kaleidospod' is crafted to become the pattern-making machine alongside the ornamental facade - 'Kaleidosfold'. All of these merge together to form the Textile design institute and research center that will provide for the students across the shore of the Bang Krachao river as well as visiting tourists and residing locals.
